- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (for glaze)
- 1–2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time.
- Stir in sour cream, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
- Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Spread batter into prepared pan and bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While bars cool slightly, whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze over warm bars. Cool completely, then slice and serve.
Notes
- Add maple extract to glaze for extra flavor.
- Top with chopped pecans or walnuts for crunch.
- Glaze while bars are warm for a shiny finish.
