Ingredients

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup (for glaze)
  • 12 tbsp milk (for glaze)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time.
  4. Stir in sour cream, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Spread batter into prepared pan and bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. While bars cool slightly, whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth.
  8. Drizzle glaze over warm bars. Cool completely, then slice and serve.
